About Becki

My name is Becki, and I am a bibliophile. If this feels like the beginning of some twelve-step program, perhaps it ought to BE one!

I love everything about books. I love to buy them, I love the way that they smell, I love the feel of a fresh, brand-new novel in my hands. Most of all I love to read them. Or buy them. I'm not exactly sure which, to be honest!

Books of all genres excite me, but my favorites would have to be Dystopian stories, Suspense, Horror, Cozy Mysteries, Modern Fantasy/Supernatural, and Chick Lit. I'm fond of strong character development and protagonists that stick with you long after you're finished reading the book.

My favorite novel that I've ever read is What's Eating Gilbert Grape by Peter Hedges, but I also particularly love The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, It by Stephen King, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion, The Shining, by Stephen King, and The Gallaghers of Ardmore Trilogy by Nora Roberts, and I'm sure some others I'm not currently calling to mind!

I like to review everything that I read, so please be sure to check out my Review Policy and get in touch with me if you'd like to have me do a review for you or participate in a blog tour! Please bear in mind that at the present time I am only reading hard copies, as my Kindle needs to be replaced and I prefer the feel of a printed book in my hands over the electronic devices.

My books occupy space with my husband (one of my best friends!), my girlfriend (also my best friend!), my daughter, and our three cats. In addition to cats, I love dogs, and in particular Rottweilers. I also love horses and hope one day to be able to own one of my own. I've been obsessed throughout my entire life. Perhaps that's my secondary obsession, after books.

Books about horses are a great thing, and The Horse Whisperer was one of my adolescent favorites.

When I'm not reading, I enjoy knitting and literate role play.
