Becki's Book Review Policy
My name is Becki, and you can read a bit about me here. I've been writing book reviews for about the past four years, though I've recently decided to give myself (and my blog) a fresh start. Most of the books that I review are books that I purchased either on Amazon or at one of my local book stores.
I do accept books for review. Please review my list of genres I am currently reviewing and those that I am not currently reviewing before requesting a book review from me, and note that I am at the present time only reviewing hard copies. This means that I cannot accept electronic books for Kindle at this point in time.
Genres I Want to Review:
- Dystopian Stories
- Suspense/Horror
- Modern Fantasy
- Cozy Mysteries
- Young Adult (Coming of Age) Stories
- True Crime
- Anthropology
- Pagan Practice
Genres I Will Review:
- Romance
- Historical Fiction
- Christian Fiction (I'm not a Christian though!)
- Chick Lit
- Historical Nonfiction
- Self-Help
Genres I Won't Review:
- None at Present

I try to respond to all inquiries within 48 hours, provided that they are sent to the correct address and are not sent to my SPAM folder. Please be patient: I do check the spam folder of the primary e-mail account routinely.
How Reviews are Posted
All reviews will be posted to this blog, with a copy to Goodreads. A review will generally be posted to Amazon, often an abridged version of 250-500 words, while reviews on the blog and Goodreads are often longer.
The blog and Goodreads Review will include:
- a star rating between 1-5 stars or a dnf (did not finish) rating.
- a spoiler-free summary of the book.
- my thoughts on the book.
- who i'd recommend the book to.
- a comments section for follow-up by other readers.
I read about one book a week, depending on the length of the book. Sometimes I can read and review as many as three short books in a week, but it might take two or even three weeks to read a book that is over a thousand pages long.
